Senior Machine Learning Engineer

The role
If you have in significant experience in ML software development and pipeline configuration, this is a rare opportunity to use your expertise to help shape the ongoing success of a science-based SME with a bright future. 
 
  • Collaborate strategically with colleagues to define and champion technical specifications, taking the lead in developing scalable, high-performance code.
  • Drive exploration, experimentation, and prototyping efforts to deliver robust, production-quality code and advanced models.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely project delivery, leveraging expertise to streamline processes and optimize outcomes.
  • Partner closely with our product team to support their product specification by ensuring that the team understand the limits & possibilities of the data/tools that we have.
  • Ensure you stay up to date on the leading technical advances in digital nature data delivery & analysis.
  • Support grant ideation, development & delivery.
  • Oversee the maintenance of software development documentation & infrastructure on GCP for ML
About you
  • Strong background in ML software development & pipeline configuration. 
  • Good understanding of research & product development.
  • Familiar with DataOps & MLOps.
  • Able to deploy & test ML models in production.
  • Good understanding of the principled evaluation of ML models.
  • Familiar with many different data sources and types
  • Commercially astute.
  • Excellent communication, planning and interpersonal skills.

  • Software experience with Geospatial technologies 
  • Experience with Tensorflow & BigQuery.
  • Comfortable building automated test infrastructure for ML models.
